Prof. Dr. Hüseyi̇n Bağcı is a Professor of International Relations at the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara (Türkiye), where he was also the Chair of the Department of International Relations from 2011 to 2015. He is also the President of the Foreign Policy Institute in Ankara and has been visiting professor in Germany, Italy and Poland. He has published several books and large number of articles on Türkiye Foreign Policy and Türkiye-German relations. Prof. Bağcı is a prominent TV and Radio Commentator in Türkiye and member of IISS in London and Center for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels, Belgium. 

In his lecture, Prof. Dr. Hüseyi̇n Bağcı will present his views on the situation in Türkiye and Middle East after the Arab Spring.

The lecture will be in English followed by a discussion with the guest lecturer moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zijad Bećirović, director of IFIMES and Prof. Dr. Milan Jazbec, editor of the international scientific journal “European Perspectives”.
