Former President Republic of Albania 2017 – 2022 and
President of the Freedom Party
H.E. Ilir Meta served as the President of the Republic of Albania in the period 2017-2022. Before that, he was the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Speaker of the Parliament, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of the Economy. He is one of the most experienced politicians in the region. He is the president of the Freedom Party (Partia e Lirise). In his lecture he will present the new challenges faced by Albania, the region, Europe and the world. The distinguished guest will also speak about current situation in Albania.
The lecture will be in English, followed by a discussion moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zijad Bećirović and Bakhatyar Aljaf, directors of IFIMES.
