The lecture will be held on Wendsday, 13 July 2016, at 10.00 h

in the “Grad” hall of Hotel Lev (13th floor) at Vošnjakova 1, Ljubljana.

 

Josip Juratovic (SDP) is a member of the German Bundestag. He was born in 1959 in Koprivnica, Croatia. He was one of the most recognizable trade unionists in southern Germany. Since 2005, he is a member of the German Federal Parliament (Bundestag). Since 2014 he is the Commissioner for integration within the SPD parliamentary group. He is a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs in the Bundestag. The Western Balkans is in the framework of his responsibility within. Juratovic is the vice president of the Germany – Croatia, the Germany – Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the Germany – South Eastern Europe parliamentary group in the Bundestag.  

 

In his lecture, deputy Juratovic will present his views on some key issues of German foreign policy and his perception of the challenges related to the Western Balkan countries and their Euro-Atlantic integration process.

 

The lecture will be delivered in the Croatian language and will be followed by a discussion with the guest lecturer which will be moderated by Dr. Zijad Bećirović and Bakhatyar Aljaf.
