invites You kindly to take part at the

round table entitled

SLOVENIA AND THE EUROPEAN UNION – FACING NEW CHALLENGES",

which will be held on Thursday, 4 June 2009 at 13.00 h
in the Auditorium of Center Evropa at Dalmatinova 4 in Ljubljana

During the period from 20 April to 7 May 2009 IFIMES has carried out a public opinion poll. In replies to the question “Which head of the candidate list for Slovenian MEPs do you trust most?“
Mr. Jelko Kacin (LDS/ALDE) and Mr. Alojz Peterle (NSi/EPP-ED) ranked as top two candidates.

Therefore we invited them to the round table to discuss Slovenia’s position in the EU, the challenges and opportunities in the next five years within the European integration and their previous experiences. We will also talk about current domestic and global events.

The round table will be moderated by Mr. Zijad Bećirović.

Attendance is free of charge. Please confirm your participation at telephone number (01) 430 15 33 or at ifimes@ifimes.org
