The round table: Where is Slovenia heading

In the framework of the "Slovenia and the EU" lecture cycle

the International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES)

WHERE IS SLOVENIA HEADING

which will take place on Monday, 23 June 2014 at 16.00 h

in the “Grad” hall of Hotel Lev (13th floor) at Vošnjakova 1, Ljubljana.

Slovenia will hold early election on 13 July 2014. In recent years, the political and economic situation has raised anxiety among each and every Slovenian citizen. Disappointments over the politics and the general situation in Slovenia have become a regular feature. A few new political parties have appeared on the political scene in the last month. What can we expect from them? What changes are needed in Slovenia and how to implement them? Where is Slovenia heading?

 

Those and other issues will be discussed at the round table by the following experts:

 

  • Peter Frankl, director of the Finance business daily,
  • Dejan Steinbuch, a columnist and political commentator,
  • Bojan Požar,the founder and editor-in-chief of www.pozareport.si

 

The round table will be held in the Slovenian language and moderated by Zijad Bećirović.
