“CHALLENGES AND PERSPECTIVES OF WEST BALKANS ON THE WAY TO THE EU”

which will be held on Thursday, 7 May 2009 at 11.00 h
in the Auditorium of Center Evropa, Dalmatinova 4, Ljubljana.

President of the Council of the International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES) Dr. Robert J. Donia and Member of the European Parliament (MEP) and EP Rapporteur for Serbia Jelko Kacin will speak about current events in the Balkans, challenges and Euro-Atlantic prospects relevant for the region as a whole and individual states.

As a longstanding advisor to the Hague Tribunal Dr. Donia will also talk about the role of the Hague Tribunal and the future processing of war criminals. Mr. Kacin will talk about his experiences with the West Balkans in his role as MEP and about Slovenian-Croatian relations.

The press conference will be held in the Slovenian and English language.
