Presidential Candidates' Views on the Western Balkans

The International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES), Ljubljana, which regularly analyzes events in the Middle East and the Balkans, kindly invites you to a round-table discussion entitled

»Presidential Candidates' Views on the Western Balkans«

on Wednesday, the 12th of September 2007, at 16:00 in the Evropa Center, Dalmatinova 4, Ljubljana

To the round-table discussion, led by Mr. Zijad Bećirović, M.Sc. and dr. Milan Jazbec, the three leading candidates, according to recent public opinion polls, for the President of the Republic of Slovenia have been invited: Mr. Alojz Peterle, dr. Danilo Türk and Mr. Mitja Gaspari, M.Sc.

The discussion is intended to be a presentation of the presidential candidates' views regarding the future role and importance of the Western Balkans for Slovenia and the EU in regard to approaching euroatlantic integrations, and it will also touch upon current questions between Slovenia and Croatia.
