KOSOVO NGOs VISIT SLOVENIA


LJUBLJANA, 2 June 2011 - Director of the International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES) Zijad Bećirović today received the representatives of NGOs from Kosovo in the framework of their study visit and delivered a lecture entitled "Communicating the EU topics as a think-thank - influencing the opinion makers and setting the agenda" - presentation of the Balkan oriented think-thank on how it promotes EU topics through events and analyses.

The visit was organised in co-operation with Studio 3S and Center Evropa from Ljubljana which is a partner agency in the consortium led by the NGO Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) from Priština. Center Evropa has been implementing the EU-financed programme aimed at establishing an EU information centre in Priština and an EU focal point in North Mitrovica, both in Kosovo.

The foreign delegation was comprised of Vuk Mitrović from the Center for Civil Society Development (CCSD), Vjollca Sllamniku, Buleza Xhaferi, Admir Isrefi and Fidan Jallaqi from KCSF. The delegation was escorted by Mitja Kandare and Igor Lazar from Center Evropa and Studio S.

At the end of the visit IFIMES Director presented the guests with the Institute's latest publications.
