the International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES)

"CHALLENGES OF THE ARBITRATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN SLOVENIA AND CROATIA"

delivered by Janez Janša

President of Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS)



The lecture will take place on Wednesday, 19 May 2010, at 16.00 h
in the Auditorium of Center Evropa at Dalmatinova 4 in Ljubljana.

President of Slovenian Democratic Party and Deputy to the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Mr. Janez Janša will deliver the lecture entitled "Challenges of the arbitration agreement between Slovenia and Croatia". As the leader of the largest opposition party Mr. Janša will present his view of this burning internal political issue which has divided not only the politicians but also the professional public.

Mr. Janša was Slovenia's Prime Minister in the period 2004-2008 and President of the European Council during Slovenia's EU presidency. The event will also provide the opportunity to discuss other current topics in Slovenia and abroad.

The lecture will be delivered in the Slovenian language and will be followed by a discussion with the guest lecturer which will be moderated by Zijad Bećirović and Bakhatyar Aljaf.
