In the framework of the "Middle East and EU" cycle

The International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES)

invites you kindly to take part at the presentation of the book

by

Ambassador Emir Hadžikadunić

entitled

“Why Iran?” (Zašto Iran?)

The presentation will be held on Thursday, 17 April 2014, at 16.00 h,

in the “Grad” hall of Hotel Lev (13th floor) at Vošnjakova 1, Ljubljana.

At the end of last year the CNS and Dobra knjiga publishing houses from Sarajevo published the book entitled Zašto Iran? (“Why Iran?”) by Emir Hadžikadunić, former Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Islamic Republic of Iran (2010-2013).

Writing or speaking about Iran in an objective and unbiased manner is not an easy task. Very few countries have received so much global attention, divergent and contradictory views, influences and pressures from the superpowers. In his book the author has managed to find appropriate answers that will bring the reader closer to events in Iran and the region and enable him/her to understand the present political situation.

Besides the author the book will be presented by:

Dr. Jožef Kunič, former Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Iran

Bakhatyar Aljaf, Director of the IFIMES International Institute

Dr. Primož Šterbenc,Assistant Professor at the University of Primorska, Koper and

Zijad Bećirović, M.Sc., Director of the IFIMES International Institute, who will moderate the discussion.

The presentation will be held in the Slovenian and Bosnian languages.

Live broadcast at: http://www.ifimes.org/en/livestream

Please take your seat at the hall at the latest by 15.55 h.

Attendance is free of charge. Please confirm your participation at telephone number (01) 430 15 33 or at ifimes@ifimes.org.
