"KOSOVO'S INDEPENDENCE AS THE FINAL ACT OF THE BALKAN DRAMA"

In the framework of the "West Balkans and the EU" lecture cycle, IFIMES –The International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies, Government Communication Office and Center Evropa invite you kindly to take part at the lecture entitled

"KOSOVO'S INDEPENDENCE AS THE FINAL ACT OF THE BALKAN DRAMA"

The event will take place on Wednesday, 20 June 2007 at 16.30 h in the Auditorium of Center Evropa at Dalmatinova 4 in Ljubljana.

The lecture will be delivered by Mr. Drago Flis, foreign policy commentator at Radio Slovenia and member of the IFIMES Institute. Mr. Flis analyses events in the West Balkans, with special emphasis on the Albanians. He worked at the OSCE mission in Kosovo until the end of 2001. He speaks Albanian fluently and is an excellent connoisseur of the historical and current situation in the Balkans.

The lecture will be given in the English language and will be followed by a discussion with Mr. Drago Flis which will be moderated by Bakhtyar Aljaf and Dr. Milan Jazbec.
