US Presidential election 2016

 

which will be held on Thursday, 27 October 2016, at 17.00 h

in the “Grad” hall of Hotel Lev (13th floor) at Vošnjakova 1, Ljubljana.

 

 

US presidential election, which will be held on 8 November 2016, arouse the attention of the American and global public. Who will lead the US in the next term it is of the utmost importance for the whole world. We are witnessing one of the most interesting election campaigns of the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and the Republican candidate Donald Trump. What will be the implications for the US and the world after the election, what does it mean if one candidate win or the other? How will this affect the international relations and the balance of power in the world, how will economic markets react?

 

Those and other issues will be discussed by the following experts:

 

  • Prof. Dr. Dimitrij Rupel, formerMinisterfor Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia
  • Prof. Dr. Ernest Petrič, first Slovene ambassador to the US and former President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia
  • Prof. Dr. Vlado Dimovski, professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana

 

The round table will be held in the Slovene and will be moderated by Dr. Zijad Bećirović.
